THE ROYAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, MELBOURNE
The Royal Children’s Hospital is a 310 bed facility which provides health services for infants, children and adolescents including support for their families when necessary.
Every day at the Royal Children’s brings new dramas, challenges, joy and sometimes sadness for all who come through the doors. Words alone cannot describe the miracles that occur here every day.
Open heart surgery, separation of conjoined twins, liver and kidney transplants for toddlers and children, amputee youngsters walking for the first time because of state of the art prostheses, young leukemia patients going into remission – all of these things are part of daily life here at RCH.
Without the most generous support that the Royal Children’s Hospital has received from all sectors of the community, it would not be possible to deliver the extraordinary levels of care and treatment that our patients and their families have come to expect of their Hospital. Donated funds are used to purchase state of the art medical equipment and fund research programs that will ensure a healthy future for more children.
